LScreenCapture::CaptureWindow

Summary

Captures an image of the specified window or the specified window's client area into the associated class object's bitmap.

Syntax

Parameters

HWND hWnd

The handle of the window to capture.

WINDOWCAPTURETYPE wctCaptureType

The capture type. Possible values are:

Value Meaning
CAPTURE_CLIENT_AREA [0x01] Captures the client area of the window.
CAPTURE_WINDOW [0x02] Capture the complete window.

Returns

Value Meaning
SUCCESS The function was successful.
< 1 An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

The hot key needs to be pressed to complete the capture.
