LEADTOOLS 22 Icon

LEAD Technologies is very pleased to introduce LEADTOOLS Version 22. LEADTOOLS has continued to raise the standard of innovative technologies for 34+ years and there is no end in sight. This release is highlighted by new libraries and features that are found within LEAD's Document, Recognition, Medical, Imaging, and Multimedia technologies.

What's new in the LEADTOOLS Document Engine

LEADTOOLS Document Engine libraries and binaries as well as our fully-sourced demos are built with .NET 6+ as the target runtime.

Document Viewer

With minimal code, developers that leverage the Document Viewer can create user-interfaces to enter data into PDF Form Fields.

eSignatures

Programmers leveraging the LEADTOOLS Document Viewer in their applications are able to view, convert, compose, edit, compare and now also sign documents. With the NEW eSignature support, developers can easily add simple signature images to documents and PDFs. For those looking to take verification and security further, this can be combined with our certificate-based digital signature support to guarantee that the document has not been manipulated.

Document Editor

LEAD is proud to introduce the new LEADTOOLS Document Editor control for HTML/JavaScript development. The LEADTOOLS Document Editor control provides a word-processor like experience that can load, edit, and save PDF, DOC/DOCX, and RTF formats.

  • Zero-foot print document editing solution for HTML5/JavaScript applications
  • Supports loading, editing, and saving formats, such as DOC/DOCX, PDF, RTF, and TXT without additional third-party software
  • Includes rich document-editing capabilities, such as text search and replace, undo and redo, clipboard (cut, copy, and paste), ruler, fonts and styles, paragraph styles, text alignment, bulleted and numbered lists, images with text wrapping options, tables with split and merged cells, nested tables, and border styles, hyperlinks, headers and footers, page breaks, and keyboard shortcuts
  • Easy to integrate into existing solutions and workflows

Document Editor Data Streaming

The LEADTOOLS Document Editor can stream document data between the client and the server. This improves the end-user's experience when loading and editing large multi-page files by becoming interactive sooner and providing a means for the end-user to cancel the stream.

The LEADTOOLS Document Editor is included in the new LEADTOOLS Edit SDK product and up. See the Document family of products for additional options.

Combine Speech Recognition and Document Editing

Now with speech recognition, the Editor enables users to transcribe audio to text, edit the result, and save to one of many formats including PDF, DOCX, and TXT. No server computing required! All of this functionality is performed locally in the browser eliminating any issues that slow network connections cause for web applications. Be sure to check out our full post on Speech Recognition for an in-depth look into how it is used within the Edit SDK.
