IltmmWMProfileManager::GetCodecFormat

Summary

Gets the format at the specified format index, which is supported by the codec at the specified codec index.

Parameters

IltmmWMProfileManager *pProfMan

Pointer to an IltmmWMProfileManager interface.

BSTR Type

A string identifying the major media type for which the specified format is retrieved. Possible values are:

ltmmMEDIATYPE_Video
ltmmMEDIATYPE_Audio

long CodecIndex

The zero based index of the codec for which to retrieve the specified format.

long FormatIndex

The zero based index of the format to retrieve.

IltmmWMStreamConfig **pVal

Pointer to a variable to be updated with a pointer to an IltmmWMStreamConfig interface. This interface describes the retrieved format.

Returns

Value	Meaning
S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

If IltmmWMProfileManager::GetCodecFormat succeeds, the caller must free the retrieved interface by calling its Release method.
