Excel API and Web Editor
We are proud to introduce the new LEADTOOLS Excel API and Excel Web Editor. Built with the award-winning Document SDK Technology, developers leveraging the Excel API and Excel Web Editor can add spreadsheet technology to build robust, intelligent applications.
Excel API
The LEADTOOLS Excel API gives developers the power to load existing excel files, create, edit, and save Excel sheets programmatically. With features such as:
- Add and delete table columns and rows
- General Formatting
- Formula Creation
- Styling
- Merge and split cells
- Images
Excel Web Editor
Designed similar to the Document Editor Control, the LEADTOOLS Excel Web Editor is a full-featured spreadsheet library and easy to integrate into existing HTML/JavaScript applications. This dynamic and user-friendly editor includes the following features:
- Dynamic data manipulation to easily add, edit, or delete rows and columns
- Support for multiple worksheets
- Formulas and functions capabilities including basic mathematical operations, statistical functions, and date/time functions
- Cell formatting including text size, text color, font, backgrounds, and more
- Ability to import .XLS and .XLSX documents and export .XLSX

New React Medical Web Viewer
Using customer feedback, the LEADTOOLS Medical team built a completely redesigned, brand-new React Medical Web Viewer from the ground up. This new viewer is faster, modular, easier to use, and offers plenty of quality-of-life improvements. Features include:
- Freedom to use the included LEADTOOLS DICOMWeb Service as well as any other DICOMWeb Service or Database so you can plug-in-and-go
- The ability to use JSON as the input for a super streamlined viewing experience
- Display medical grayscale and colored images including MRI, CT, Digital X-Ray, and Ultrasound
- Client-side caching of downloaded image data to increase reload speed and reduce network traffic
- Comprehensive 3D Volume Rendering
- Image markup and annotation including Arrow, Text, Rectangle, Ellipse, Ruler, Highlight and Angle
- Series Stacking, Structured Displays, and DICOM Hanging Protocol

What's new in the LEADTOOLS Multimedia Engine
New Multi-Capture Video Support
Capture and display all the angles you need from virtually any source simultaneously while streaming one audio file.
Speech Recognition Toolkit Demo
- Combines the Multimedia engine and Speech Recognition technology
- Dynamically generates captions during real-time playback of a video
- Transcribes spoken words from an audio or video file into captions which can then be embedded in the MP4 files
Speech Recognition Web Demo
New online demo that uses speech recognition to pick up incoming audio from a microphone and uploads the text directly in a text box for copy/paste.

Changes to the LEADTOOLS Product Line
In Version 23, the following products have been added:
- New LEADTOOLS PDF Engine - lower cost alternative that supports loading, viewing, and saving PDFs. Advanced PDF features will continue to be available as an add on purchase, providing advanced PDF support including PDF editing and digital signatures
- LEADTOOLS Document Plus - includes all features of LEADTOOLS Document plus HTML/JavaScript document view and compare, document conversion, PDF, vector formats, and media writers
In Version 23, the following products have been updated:
- LEADTOOLS Barcode Pro is now LEADTOOLS Barcode
- LEADTOOLS Imaging Pro is now LEADTOOLS Imaging
In Version 23, the following products have been removed:

LEADTOOLS PDF Pro
- The majority of PDF features can now be found in the new LEADTOOLS PDF product. Advanced features will continue to be available for purchase in the Advanced PDF Add-on Module

LEADTOOLS Pro Suite
- This product bundle has been discontinued.

LEADTOOLS Forms
- All of the functionality previously in the LEADTOOLS Forms product is now in LEADTOOLS Document Suite
