ILTDVDBurner::get_TestWriteable

Summary

Retrieves a value that indicates the ability to do a write test on the inserted media in the drive.

Parameters

ILTDVDBurner *pDVDBurner

Pointer to an ILTDVDBurner interface.

VARIANT_BOOL *pVal

Pointer to a variable to be updated with a value that indicates the ability to do a write test on the inserted media in the drive. Possible values are:

Value Meaning
VARIANT_TRUE The inserted media in the drive is able to perform a write test.
VARIANT_FALSE The inserted media in the drive is unable to perform a write test.

Returns

Value Meaning
S_OK The function was successful.
<> S_OK An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Write tests are not supported for media of type DVD+RW, when the value of pVal parameter of the ILTDVDBurner::get_DiscType function is LTDVDBurner_DiscType_DVDPLUSRW
