L_PicturizeBitmapSingle

Summary

Picturizes the specified bitmap using the specified thumbnail image.

Syntax

#include "l_bitmap.h"

L_LTIMGEFX_API L_INT L_PicturizeBitmapSingle(pBitmap, pThumbBitmap, uCellWidth, uCellHeight, uLightnessFact, uFlags)

Parameters

pBITMAPHANDLE pBitmap

Pointer to the bitmap handle that references the bitmap to be picturized.

pBITMAPHANDLE pThumbBitmap

Pointer to the bitmap handle that references the bitmap used to create the thumbnail.

L_UINT uCellWidth

Width of the thumbnail bitmap.

L_UINT uCellHeight

Height of the thumbnail bitmap.

L_UINT uLightnessFact

Value that represents how much to lighten the thumbnail bitmap. Valid values are between 0 and 1000. This value is divided internally by 1000. Values between 0 and 499 darken the image. Values between 500 and 1000 lighten the image.

L_UINT32 uFlags

Reserved for future use. Must be 0.

Returns

Value Meaning
SUCCESS The function was successful.
< 1 An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

This function does not support signed data images. It returns the error code ERROR_SIGNED_DATA_NOT_SUPPORTED if a signed data image is passed to this function.

The image, or selected region, is broken down into rectangles of size uCellWidth x uCellHeight. For each rectangle, the thumbnail image is corrected to approximate that rectangle, and inserted in the original image. Note that every rectangle is replaced with the same image.

The uLightnessFact parameter can be used to change the lightness of the big image by changing the lightness of each rectangle.

This function supports 12 and 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit color images. Support for 12 and 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit color images is available in the Document and Medical Imaging toolkits.

This function does not support 32-bit grayscale images. It returns the error code ERROR_GRAY32_UNSUPPORTED if a 32-bit grayscale image is passed to this function.

Example

This example loads a bitmap and picturize it with the same bitmap.

L_INT PicturizeBitmapSingleExample(L_VOID)
{
   L_INT nRet;
   BITMAPHANDLE LeadBitmap; /* Bitmap handle to hold the loaded image. */

   /* Load the bitmap, keeping the bits per pixel of the file */
   nRet = L_LoadBitmap(MAKE_IMAGE_PATH(TEXT("IMAGE1.CMP")), &LeadBitmap, sizeof(BITMAPHANDLE), 0, ORDER_BGR, NULL, NULL);
   if (nRet != SUCCESS)
      return nRet;

   /*Picturize the bitmap */
   nRet = L_PicturizeBitmapSingle(&LeadBitmap, &LeadBitmap, 20, 15, 200, 0);
   if (nRet != SUCCESS)
      return nRet;

   nRet = L_SaveBitmap(MAKE_IMAGE_PATH(TEXT("Result.BMP")), &LeadBitmap, FILE_BMP, 24, 0, NULL);
   if (nRet != SUCCESS)
      return nRet;

   //free bitmap
   if (LeadBitmap.Flags.Allocated)
      L_FreeBitmap(&LeadBitmap);
