IltmmWMProfileManager::CreateEmptyProfile

Summary

Creates an empty profile object.

Parameters

IltmmWMProfileManager *pProfMan

Pointer to an IltmmWMProfileManager interface.

long Version

Value that represents the media format SDK used to create the profile. It will contain one member of the ltmmWM_VERSION enumeration type. Possible values are:

ltmmWMT_VER_4_0
ltmmWMT_VER_7_0
ltmmWMT_VER_8_0
ltmmWMT_VER_9_0

IltmmWMProfile **pVal

Pointer to a variable to be updated with a pointer to an IltmmWMProfile interface. This interface references the created profile object.

Returns

Value	Meaning
S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Configure the newly created profile using the IltmmWMProfile interface.

To save the profile to an XML-formatted string, use IltmmWMProfileManager::SaveProfile.

If IltmmWMProfileManager::CreateEmptyProfile succeeds, the caller must free the retrieved interface by calling its Release method.
