How do I Move a Series to another Patient that Already Exists in the System?

  1. Double-click the desktop icon for the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater.

  2. Log onto the application.

  3. When the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater dialog appears, move the cursor to the Patient ID field and enter the Patient ID of the patient containing the information that you want to move. For example, to move a series from Patient 999-30-1239's record to Patient 999-12-9795's record, enter 999-30-1239 into the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater to locate those images first. After moving, the selected series will belong to Patient 999-12-9795.

  9. Selecting the Move Study To Existing Patient radio button disables all fields except for the Patient ID. Enter the Patient ID for the destination record. Entering a different, complete Patient ID enables the Search button. Click Search. If the search is successful, the information for that Patient ID fills the entry fields and the Copy and Move buttons become enabled.

Note: If you receive a message that says Patient with specified ID was not found, then the patient does not have any approved images in the system. Treat such a case as if the patient does not exist in the system. Use the How To Move a Series To a Patient that Does Not Exist in the System procedure.
