Medical Viewer SDK Libraries

LEADTOOLS includes several Medical Viewers to display DICOM data sets and pixel data with features focused on the medical community. Each of these viewers display DICOM images and include advanced medical-specific features such as multi-cell and sub-cell layouts, 16-bit extended grayscale, window leveling, image stack, metadata tags, annotations and markup, reference lines, and cine. Many .NET Framework, C++ Class Library, C#, VB, C/C++, and HTML / JavaScript developers depend on these controls for medical imaging, allowing them to focus on the business logic side of their development.

DICOM Viewer Control for .NET, C, and C++

The LEADTOOLS DICOM Viewer Control is a high-level component to add medical image display technology to applications such as view stations, teleradiology solutions, and high-end diagnostic workstations. The DICOM Viewer control is available for most platforms, including .NET, C/C++, iOS, macOS, and Android.

The Medical Web Viewer Control uses the DICOM standard and WADO (DICOMWeb) to communicate with the front-end and the back-end. Method inputs include:

  • Array DICOM JSON Instances – a standard DICOM JSON model described in PS3.18.F.2 of DICOM Specification
  • Instance Resource – an instance resource is returned by DICOMWeb QIDO-RS (described in PS3.18.10.6.3.3.3 of DICOM Specification). This makes it easy to use the LEAD medical viewer control with any standard DICOMWeb implementation
  • Basic Structured Display as DICOM JSON

HTML5/JavaScript Medical Web Viewer Framework

A zero-footprint Medical viewer with light and dark themes to display DICOM images (pixel data) with window level, density removal, offset, scale, zoom, stack, annotation/markup, and multi-touch support for phone, tablet, and desktop.

It demonstrates zero-footprint 3D volume rendering of multiple volume types including VRT, MIP, MPR, and SSD in the Medical Web Viewer.
