Retrieves a device independent bitmap.

Parameter

Description

pPlay

Pointer to an IltmmPlay interface.

TimeOut

Value containing the maximum time, in milliseconds, to wait for the image.

phDIB

Pointer to a variable that receives the DIB handle.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

<> S_OK

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

If the method succeeds, the caller must free the returned HDIB by calling the GlobalFree function.

If TimeOut is INFINITE, the function's time-out interval never elapses.

Note: The frame data is retrieved from the underlying graph after the processing

 filters. If the capture needs to occur before the processing is completed

 use the LeadVideoCallBackFilter and place it first in the collection of

 processing filters.
