File Formats: Image Cash Letter (X9)

The Image Cash Letter (X9) format is a Raster file format developed by the Accredited Standards Committee X9 Inc and supported by the MAVRO(imaging) X9 Viewer.

The file format is used in electronic banking systems to represent checks as images in files. Each file can contain a number of checks, each check having two images: one for the front side and one for the back side. The file also contains information about each check and the whole Cash Letter. For more information, go to http://www.checkimagecentral.org/resources/technical-resources/. From there you can download the "Universal Companion Document Version 1.3", which is the companion document for X9.100-187-2013.

LEADTOOLS supports loading X9.37 and X9.100-187 versions through the X9 filter.

This file format does not support QFactor, progressive loading, stamps, Lossless JPEG compression, multi-page or sub-formats.
