Sets the current tracking position.

Parameter

Description

pPlay

Pointer to an IltmfPlay interface.

newVal

New position The allowable input range is 0 to 10,000.

Returns

S_OK

The function was successful.

An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the MediaFoundation documentation.

Comments

The tracking position is a normalized form of the media position. It always has the same range, 0 to 10,000. This makes it ideal for use with a track bar.

Users should call IltmfPlay::CheckSeekingCapabilities to determine if ltmfPlay_Seeking_Backward and ltmfPlay_Seeking_Forward are enabled.
