L_VecSetViewport

#include "ltvkrn.h"

L_LTVKRN_API L_INT L_VecSetViewport(pVector, pViewport)

Sets the current view port.

Parameters

pVECTORHANDLE pVector

Pointer to a vector handle.

const L_RECT *pViewport

Pointer to a RECT structure that contains data on the new view port.

Returns

Value Meaning
SUCCESS The function was successful.
< 1 An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

Use this function to set the view port associated with a vector.

If pVector is attached to a window, you must call this function when processing WM_SIZE messages, since the VECTOR library needs to know when the window size has changed (DirectX), or when the double buffer mode is selected in the current VECTOR engine.

This function and L_VecSetCamera are required to complete the projection process from a vector image onto a 2D surface.

Example

This example will use L_VecSetViewport to realize a vector drawing into the upper left corner of a BITMAPHANDLE.

L_LTVKRNTEX_API L_INT VecSetViewportExample(
   pVECTORHANDLE pVector,
   pBITMAPHANDLE pBitmap)
{
   L_INT nRet;
   RECT rect;

   /* Setup the viewport rectangle */
   rect.left   = 0;
   rect.top    = 0;
   rect.right  = pBitmap->Width / 2;
   rect.bottom = pBitmap->Height / 2;

   /* Set the viewport */
   nRet = L_VecSetViewport( pVector, &rect );
   if (nRet != SUCCESS)
      return nRet;

   /* Realize */
   nRet = L_VecRealize( pBitmap, pVector, FALSE );

   return nRet;
}
