LDicomPrintSCU::CreatePresentationLUT

#include "ltdic.h"

L_INT LDicomPrintSCU::CreatePresentationLUT(pPresentationLUT, pszPresentationLUTShape = NULL)

Requests the Print SCP to create a Presentation LUT SOP Instance.

Parameters

LDicomDS* pPresentationLUT

Pointer to an LDicomDS object that contains the data of the Presentation LUT to be created. The object is assumed to contain the Presentation LUT Sequence (2050,0010). If this Sequence is not present, the function will return an error. This parameter can be set to NULL if a Presentation LUT Shape is specified using the parameter pszPresentationLUTShape.

const L_TCHAR * pszPresentationLUTShape

Character string that contains the Presentation LUT Shape (2050,0020) of the Presentation LUT to be created. This can be set to NULL or it can specify an empty string if the parameter pPresentationLUT is not NULL.

The function will return an error if none of the parameters is supplied. If both are supplied, pszPresentationLUTShape will be ignored.

Returns

Value Meaning
0 The Presentation LUT SOP Instance was created successfully.
DICOM_ERROR_PRINTSCU_FAILURE_STATUS The response of the Print SCP specifies a Failure status code; no Instance was created.
DICOM_ERROR_PRINTSCU_CLASS_NOT_SUPPORTED The Presentation LUT SOP Class is not supported on the Association.
> 0 An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

The function will not return until it receives the response of the Print SCP, or an error occurs. The function LDicomPrintSCU::GetLastOperationStatus can be used to obtain the status code specified in the response of the Print SCP. When the return value of the function CreatePresentationLUT is 0, then the Presentation LUT was created successfully, with either a Success or Warning status code in the response of the Print SCP.

The function can be used to create one or more Presentation LUTs. Having a Presentation LUT created, the function LDicomPrintSCU::GetPresentationLUTInstanceUID can be used to obtain its SOP Instance UID, which in turn can be used to reference the Presentation LUT from Film Boxes and Grayscale Image Boxes. Refer to the functions LDicomPrintSCU::CreateFilmBox, LDicomPrintSCU::UpdateFilmBox, and LDicomPrintSCU::UpdateImageBox.

The Print SCP can be requested to delete an existing Presentation LUT SOP Instance using the function LDicomPrintSCU::DeletePresentationLUT.
