Leadtools.ImageProcessing.SpecialEffects Namespace : GlowCommand Class

Makes the colored edges shine with a neon glow. This command is available in the Raster Proo and above toolkits.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Class GlowCommand
   Inherits RasterCommand
   Implements IRasterCommand
Visual Basic (Usage) Copy Code
Dim instance As GlowCommand
C#
public class GlowCommand : RasterCommand, IRasterCommand
C++/CLI
public ref class GlowCommand : public RasterCommand, IRasterCommand

Example

Run the GlowCommand on an image.

Visual Basic Copy Code
Public Sub GlowCommandExample()
   RasterCodecs.Startup()
   Dim codecs As New RasterCodecs()
   codecs.ThrowExceptionsOnInvalidImages = True

   Dim leadImage As RasterImage = codecs.Load(LeadtoolsExamples.Common.ImagesPath.Path + "Master.jpg")

   ' Prepare the command
   Dim command As GlowCommand = New GlowCommand
   command.Dimension = 5
   command.Brightness = 3
   command.Threshold = 0
   ' Apply glow effect on the image.
   command.Run(leadImage)
   codecs.Save(leadImage, LeadtoolsExamples.Common.ImagesPath.Path + "Result.jpg", RasterImageFormat.Jpeg, 24)

   RasterCodecs.Shutdown()
End Sub
C# Copy Code
public void GlowCommandExample()

   // Load an image
   RasterCodecs.Startup();
   RasterCodecs codecs = new RasterCodecs();
   codecs.ThrowExceptionsOnInvalidImages = true;

   RasterImage image = codecs.Load(LeadtoolsExamples.Common.ImagesPath.Path + "Master.jpg");

   // Prepare the command
   GlowCommand command = new GlowCommand();
   command.Dimension  = 5;
   command.Brightness = 3;
   command.Threshold  = 0;
   // Apply glow effect on the image.
   command.Run(image);
   codecs.Save(image, LeadtoolsExamples.Common.ImagesPath.Path + "Result.jpg", RasterImageFormat.Jpeg, 24);

   RasterCodecs.Shutdown();
}

Remarks

  • This command detects the edge pixels by comparing the values of the pixel with surrounding pixels and if the edge value (the difference between the surrounding pixels and the pixel being evaluated) is greater than the Threshold value, the pixel is an edge pixel. The command then multiplies the values for the edge pixels by the brightness factor.
  • This command supports 12- and 16-bit grayscale and 48- and 64-bit color images. Support for 12- and 16-bit grayscale and 48- and 64-bit color images is available only in the Document/Medical toolkits.
  • This command does not support signed data images.
  • This command does not support 32-bit grayscale images.
