EnableThumbsSelection Property

Summary

Gets or sets a value that indicates whether clicking on any of the thumbs of the objects automatically starts editing.

Syntax
C#
VB
Objective-C
C++
Java
public bool EnableThumbsSelection { get; set; }
Public Property EnableThumbsSelection As Boolean
@property (nonatomic) BOOL enableThumbsSelection;
public boolean getEnableThumbsSelection()
public void setEnableThumbsSelection(boolean enableThumbsSelection)
public:
   property bool EnableThumbsSelection
   {
      bool get()
      void set(bool value)
   }

Property Value

true if clicking on any of the thumbs of the objects automatically starts editing; otherwise, false. The default value is false.

Remarks

The user can select objects by clicking them. If the user keeps holding the pointer down while clicking and starts dragging, the object is selected and starts moving in a continuous motion. However, if the click was on a thumb (for example, any of the resize or rotation thumbs) and the user performs the same click and drag operation, then the object should be selected and moved in the same manner and not selected and re-sized (or rotated) in the same continuous motion.

The default value of EnableThumbsSelection of false enforces this behavior. Older versions of LEADTOOLS used to perform the select and resize (or rotate) motion. If the old behavior is desired, then set the value of EnableThumbsSelection to true.
