Demos, Sample Programs and Tutorials
LEADTOOLS supports your programming endeavors with thousands of function examples, tutorials, and demo programs. These showcase LEADTOOLS core features, and demonstrate some of the simple, yet powerful applications that can be produced with LEADTOOLS toolkits. LEAD provides the following:
- These are pre-compiled demo executables that show and allow you to manipulate basic toolkit functionality through a simple user interface. Demo executables are found on the installation path in the appropriate platform subdirectory of the \BIN\ folder (for example: <LEADTOOLS_INSTALLDIR>\Bin\DotNet). Source code for the executables is provided.
Demo Project Source Code
- The LEADTOOLS toolkits include complete demo project source code for hundreds of LEADTOOLS features, (including those shown in demo executables). This enables you to see, manipulate, and copy demonstrated program functionality. Demo project source code is found on the installation path in the appropriate platform subdirectory of the \EXAMPLES\ folder (for example,<LEADTOOLS_INSTALLDIR>\Examples\DotNet). Refer to the Demo Project Source Code column in the different Feature by Platform tables of this help file for a listing of the demos available for that specific platform.
Hosted / Online Demos
- Downloadable Demos for LEADTOOLS core functionality are published to our website and updated using Microsoft ClickOnce technology. Additional demos are available under relevant subjects in LEADTOOLS Support Forums. Source code for the executables is provided.
- Tutorial programs are straightforward, stepwise models that show useful solutions to practical problems. You can use these as a starting point, cut and paste code, or simply review them for highlights on how to write code for a specific feature or problem. Tutorial (model) programs are found in the relevant help file, listed in the Contents tab under "Features of... Tutorials." For example, a Loading and Displaying an Image in .NET tutorial is documented here.
LEADTOOLS Video Trainers
Getting Started video tutorials (with full audio voice-over) that walk through key coding tasks are hosted on the LEADTOOLS YouTube video channel.
LEADTOOLS Developer Support Forums
LEADTOOLS Developer Support Forums are clearly organized, support-moderated (so that all queries include solutions), and provide code tips and solution samples, along with FAQs and troubleshooting advice. Each page includes an RSS (RSS 2.0) web feed button, enabling you to subscribe to your favorite forums and stay on top of emerging issues.
