LEAD DICOM Reader (2.0)

The LEAD DICOM Reader (2.0) filter supports streaming video data in any DICOM file.

Uses DirectShow -based media player to play video data. The filter provides control of the stream speed by changing the frame time, insertion of your own external DICOM dataset, and access to the initialized dataset for use with other processes.

The DICOM reader has a built-in JPEG and JPEG2000 decompressor and is designed to work natively with the LEAD MPEG-2 Decoder and LEAD H.264 Decoder.

Required Decompressors

• DICOM MPEG-2 (SD or HD) files using an external MPEG-2 decompressor.
• DICOM H264 (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) files (SD, HD or BD-compatible) using an external H264 decompressor.

Version

LEAD raster DLLs must be present in the filter folder or any folder in the Windows system-defined path. The filter uses DLLs from the latest toolkit version:

• LTDISU.DLL
• LTFILU.DLL
• LTIMGUTLU.DLL
• LTIMGCORU.DLL
