Feature Description

LEADTOOLS provides fast, highly accurate, and reliable detection, reading, and writing of 2 of 5 Barcodes for .NET (C# & VB), C/C++, WinRT, iOS, macOS, Java, and web developers. LEADTOOLS award-winning libraries help programmers create amazing applications that feature 2 of 5 barcode functionality.

Two-out-of-five, or 2 of 5, is an error detection and correction technique that uses two out of five bits to create exactly ten combinations. Therefore, it is perfectly suited to encode the numerals 0-9 and can easily be incorporated into barcodes by using wide and narrow bars representing the on and off bits. LEADTOOLS 1D Barcode SDK supports all of the major 2 of 5 barcode symbologies employed in various industries.

LEADTOOLS 2 of 5 Barcode SDK Symbols

Standard/Industrial/Airline 2 of 5

Standard 2 of 5 Barcode

Standard 2 of 5, also known as Industrial 2 of 5, was developed in the 1960's and is used widely in airline ticketing, photofinishing, and warehouse industries.

ITF/Interleaved Two of Five/Interleaved 2 of 5

Interleaved 2 of 5 Barcode

The ITF symbol is similar to standard 2 of 5 except data can be stored in the width of the bars and spaces; whereas, Standard 2 of 5 only stores data in the width of the bars. ITF is used widely in the shipping industry as it is especially suited to be printed directly onto packaging materials with poor printing quality such as corrugated cardboard. ITF can also be used to store EAN data structures.
