BeginUpdate Method

Summary

Stops the viewer from being updated if any change is applied. This is useful to increase the control speed efficiency.

Syntax

C#
VB
C++
public virtual void BeginUpdate()

Public Overridable Sub BeginUpdate()
public:
virtual void BeginUpdate();

Remarks

The BeginUpdate method will cause the control not to call the System.Windows.UIElement.InvalidateMeasure method when any changes to the control properties or the image is applied. When the user calls the EndUpdate method, the viewer will call System.Windows.UIElement.InvalidateMeasure to show all the changes made. This is useful for better visual results and for speed efficiency.

Calls to BeginUpdate and EndUpdate are accumulative. You can call BeginUpdate as many times as you want. You must call the EndUpdate method each time you call BeginUpdate in orderto ensure the update will happen.

Example

For C#/VB examples, refer to Flip.
