Hold Event

Summary

Occurs when the user taps and holds with the mouse or a finger.

Event Data

The event handler receives an argument of type InteractiveEventArgs containing data related to this event. The following InteractiveEventArgs properties provide information specific to this event.

NativeEventArgs Gets or sets the native Windows Runtime event associated with this event.
Origin Gets or sets the original mouse or touch position.
Position Gets or sets the current mouse or touch position.
Remarks

The Hold event will fire when following occurs:

  • When the user presses down the left mouse button and the pointer is over a TargetElement and holds without moving for specific amount of time (1.1s).
  • When the user presses a finger down on a TargetElement and holds without moving for specific amount of time (1.1s).

The Hold event is used usually on touch devices to show a context menu.
