Selects the WIA device for the specified device ID.

Parameter

Description

hSession

Handle to an existing WIA session. This handle is obtained by calling the L_WiaInitSession function.

pszDeviceId

Pointer to string that contains device ID.

You can obtain this device ID by enumerating the available WIA devices on your machine.

Returns

SUCCESS	The function was successful.
< 1	An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

This feature is available in version 16 or higher.

Use this function when working with multiple WIA devices installed on a machine in order to select the WIA device without displaying the Select Device dialog. To do this, enumerate the WIA devices by calling the L_WiaEnumDevices function. Then use it to keep a list of all received device IDs. Then call L_WiaSelectDevice function using the device ID for the device to be selected.
