Files To Be Included With Your Application

Files for redistribution are installed by the LEADTOOLS setup.  For more information on the installation directory structure, refer to Installation Directory.

The installation procedure creates a directory tree for the LEADTOOLS files, and adds the demonstration programs and online help to your desktop. You specify the root directory during installation. The following subdirectory for the LEADTOOLS Common Dialog is created:

Note:  LEADTOOLS Requires the RTM version or later of the following Microsoft C/C++ Runtime files to be distributed in the application's PATH. For more information about distributing the Microsoft C/C++ runtime files, refer to: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235291.aspx

The table below summarizes the files you must distribute to support the LEADTOOLS Common Dialog functions on a WIN32 system. (\REDIST\ subdirectory contains copies of these files.)

Note: You may not copy or redistribute any of the following files without obtaining the proper license. In some cases, the license is included with your initial purchase of LEADTOOLS. In other cases, you must obtain a license from a third party or enter into a royalty agreement with LEAD to obtain the proper license. For these special licensing situations, see the notes below accompanying the specific file.

Note:  Ltocx and LtocxVariant are required for all ActiveX / COM applications. For more information on Ltocx, LtocxVariant, or other files for the Main ActiveX / COM objects, refer to Files To Be Included With Your Application.

Note: All Unicode versions of LEADTOOLS require Microsoft Unicode Layer for Windows (UNICOWS.DLL) in order to function on Windows 95/98/Me.  You can obtain MSUL from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnanchor/html/anch_mslu.asp.
