Hello,

I have problems importing certain AVI files which were created with MP42 codec. It comes up with error "20016 - Feature not supported" while using function LEADThumb1.CreateThumbnailFromFile.

Any suggestions?

Using ltmm_n.dll V. 14.5.0.20

The AVI files that can be read using v14.5 of our imaging toolkit must have a suitable video codec installed on the machine, and that codec must be compatible with the old Microsoft Video For Windows (VFW) standard.
If you don't have such a codec, or if you only have a DirectShow codec, it will not work.

I used GSpot for more information about these AVI files. GSpot says the codecs are installed! Windows Media Player and other Players are able to play these files. Any other idea?

Both gspot and Windows Media Player have the ability to use DirectShow filters and not only the older VFW codecs.
This means the codecs you have might not be VFW-compatible.

To get a list of VFW codecs on your machine, go to the Windows Device Manager and expand the "Sound, Video and Game controllers" then open the Video Codecs properties.
The list of codecs should appear in the "Properties" tab of the dialog box as shown in the attached image.
