Hi All,
We have an application in web where we are using the Lead tool version 12 to view the image after our mailrrom scanning process.
In mailroom we use the LZW compressio format to create the lossless TIFF files. However while trying to view the same in our web appliction which is in asp page we are getting the error like "LZW Capabilities are locked".
Basically we are creating an OBJECT with the class id and getting the images loaded in that. Currently we were supporting tiff files with group4 compression mode only and everything was working fine. Now we need to handle LZW format also and we are getting the following error. Please help us.
Please help us in this ASAP .....

Hello Aurosish,
Regarding LZW, the Unisys patent on this technolgy has expired world wide. You can find the appropriate unlock keys for LZW by searching our Support Portal FAQ for article 75FAQ.

Use the appropriate UnlockSupport method in your application, and this error should disappear.

the link provided does not work anymore probably because it has been 14 years. How can we get the unlock key for LZW if we still see the "LZW Capabilities are locked" error message?

Hi Nate,
That exception indicates that you are attempting to use a function of the SDK but have not supplied the correct unlock code or license to access this feature. Unlock codes are given based on the kind of license that is purchased and have changed over the years. If you have a current v22 license or have purchased a license from an older version of the SDK, please reach out to our support team via email at
support@leadtools.com.
We will need to check what version of the SDK you are currently using and what function is throwing this exception. We would be happy to help you.
