When using the RasterFileDialog the initial view seems to be set to List mode, this displays a horizontal scroll bar if there are sufficient files. I need to open in Medium Icons mode. This can be achieved by right-clicking and using the standrad context menu but I want to ensure that the dialog starts in this mode.

Thanks

Hello,

It appears that this functionality was not included in the base DotNet control that we inherit from, but it does appear that there may be a low-level work-around for implementing this functionality.

If you would like, I can submit a feature request regarding this fucntionality to have it added natively to the control. We will also continue looking into this for a possible work-around for our current implementation.

Hello,

Unfortunately, our current implemention does not allow us to use even a low-level work-around as previously thought. This functionality can be added to the toolkit though.

In order to proceed with submitting a feature request for this, I need you to send an email to support@leadtools.com (including the following information):

1. The company you work for
2. The LEADTOOLS serial number/numbers you own (if you are evaluating, just say so)
3. The name/names of the developer/developers using the serial number/numbers
4. A link to this forum post

I've submitted feature request number 8554IDT for this functionality to be added to the SDK.

This functionality has been added to our latest LEADTOOLS v16.5 dlls. You can now set the InitialView property on the dialogs to indicate how you want the files to be displayed in the dialog. This property can be set with the FileDialogInitialView enumeration.
