[Split by moderator from thread "OCR engine initialization error, could not find the runtime engine."]

I was really missing the OcrAdvantageRuntime folder on the server machine.

But we believe that the OCR processing is slow, it takes about 1 minute to a non-searchable PDF document with 3 pages, 220KB in size. This is normal?

We are using LEADTOOLS 19, DocumentViewer HTML5 being processed in WCFHost DocumentsService (Leadtools.Documents.Service.DocumentsService).

Thank you.

Hello Marcio,

If the output from the operations you are running are non-searchable PDF documents, then why bother with OCR?

You could simply use our RasterCodecs to Load/Save as RasPDF.

Here is a link to the RasterCodecs class in our documentation: https://www.leadtools.co...codecs.rastercodecs.html

code would be something like:
RasterCodecs codecs = new RasterCodecs();
RasterImage file = codecs.Load("path to input file");
codecs.Save(file, "path to output directory", RasterImageFormat.RasPdf, 0);

Regardless, if OCR is the route you want to take with your application you can send in the input files to support@leadtools.com, the support team will be able to test and further advise.
