I just purchased a Surface tablet and I was following the instruction from this blogpost (http://www.ideatoappster.com/how-to-debug-windows-store-apps-on-your-microsoft-surface-tablet/) to just try to deploy one of the demos such as CSMainDemo and CSViewerDemo to my tablet. I didn't have any luck. However, I was able to run those demos fine on my Windows 8 desktop.

During the deployment process, I received the following error:
Error 1 Error : DEP0600 : The following unexpected error occurred during deployment:
The parameter is incorrect. CSMainDemo

I was also able to deploy a HelloWorld app to my Surface as well as a demo from Foxit so I know that the connectivity between my Visual Studio 2012 and my Surface tablet is working properly.

Please advice.

Please try the following steps In Visual Studio 2012:
Double-click on the Package.appmanifest file.
On the "Packaging" tab, click 'Choose Certificate'.
In the "Configure Certificate" drop down box, pick 'Create Test Certificate'.
Rebuild and deploy.
