Software Engineer Icon

Software Engineer

LEAD Technologies is seeking to fill a software engineer position to participate in the development of our LEADTOOLS SDK product lines. Software engineers work closely and collaborate with other engineers, as well as the developer support, QA, and documentation teams, to produce software solutions for commercial production.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other developers in designing robust software projects.
  • Develop and implement software projects.
  • Develop and execute software projects from the ground up.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Work with graphics and other designers.
  • Write documentation, test samples, and example programs for LEAD’s SDK functionality.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience in application development.
  • Proficient in Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Desired Skills

  • Proficient in .NET (C#).
  • Significant coding skills in Java, with other languages is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks such as React, Vue.js, AngularJS, Node.js, Express.js, and Flutter is highly desirable.
  • Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science\Engineering or related field.

Software Engineer Icon

Developer Support Engineer

LEAD Technologies is seeking to fill a developer support position to work directly with customers using LEADTOOLS SDKs by providing technical support and addressing pre-sales technical issues. This is a great position for entry-level software developers looking to gain practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to customers via phone, chat, and email
  • Duplicate and report bugs found in the SDKs to the engineering department
  • Write sample code for customers to provide a proof of concept based on the customers' objective
  • Write demo applications. These applications may be tasks assigned by the engineering department or demos that customers will be able to use to help them better understand how to achieve a specific objective with our SDKs.
  • The ability to multi-task and understand complex problems is required. The applicant must also be very motivated, have excellent people skills, be comfortable assisting customers over the phone, and be willing to constantly learn new technologies. Initial training and orientation will be provided. Strong self-motivation and independent execution is expected.

Desired Skills

  • Proficient in .NET (C#).
  • C/C++ and Visual Studio .NET (C# and/or VB.NET) experience for Microsoft Windows-based operating systems is preferred.
  • Significant coding skills in Java, with other languages is a big plus.
  • Prior experience programming with SDKs, HTML5, JavaScript, Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, and/or digital imaging is a plus.
  • Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js and Webpack.
  • Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills.

Education

  • The successful applicant will have a computer science/engineering degree or have the equivalent relevant experience.
