Retrieves a string that contains the capture stream type.

Pointer to an IltmmCapture interface.
Pointer to a variable to be updated with a string that contains the stream type. Possible values are:
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| MEDIATYPE_Stream | The stream is a byte stream with no time stamps. For example, a hardware compressed stream. |
| MEDIATYPE_Interleaved | The stream type is interleaved. For example, stream used by Digital Video DV. |
| MEDIATYPE_Video | The stream type is video. |
| Value | Meaning |

| S_OK | The function was successful. |
| <> S_OK | An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation. |
The string referenced by pVal contains a formatted Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) of the form {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}.
If the function succeeds, the caller must free the BSTR referenced by pVal, by calling the SysFreeString function.
