Hi,

I need to determine - in VB6 -  if a users PC has the windows media format runtime files installed (so i can encode in WM asf)

Currently I just set the profile version to ltmmWMT_VER_7_0 (the minimum I require), then check the count of the profiles for this version. If it it > 0 then I assume that their PC is ok (for encoding). This seems a bit messy to me. Is there a better way - any examples?

Many Thanks,

Duncan.

We currently do not provide such a functionality.  You can check for the dll

that provides the encoder to access this feature directly.
