Hello Forum,

Leadtools multemedia v17 has 64 bit dlls for capture, convert control, encoder and filters also.

I am using  Visual Stdio 6.0 (c++) on windows XP and is 32 bit machine OS.

I want to use 64 bit binaries for convert control and encoders and create an exe targeted for 64bit OS.

Now my question is can I build or compile and create 64bit exe using visual studio 6.0 on windows xp 32 bit machine.

Or does it need 64bit operating system.

If possible then what are the changes required to create an 64 bit exe using VC6.0.

Can you please give  the steps to create exe targeted for 64 bit OS using vc6.0.

Thanks and Regards

Visual C++ 6 on its own does not support creating 64-bit binary EXEs.
There might be ways to compile a program as 64-bit after you've created it with Visual Studio 6 (possibly using a different compiler), but we have not tried that and don't know the details to do it.
All our 64-bit demos and sample code for LEADTOOLS Multimedia 17 were compiled with Visual Studio 2008.

You don't need a 64-bit Windows to do the development. If you have VS 2008 or later, you can build our 64-bit demos on a 32-bit machine.
