Previous to V16.5, you would need to use the zoning feature of our the OCR engine in order to detect text, graphics, and tables in an image. For those customers who want to only detct these zones, but not actually extract the text and/or create searachable output files, this feature has been added to the Raster toolkit product line.
The attached demo shows you how to detect all text and graphic zones from a file. All zones of each type are then saved to an output file.
Please note this feature is only available in V16.5 toolkits and up. At the time of this posting V16.5 has not yet been released. To compile and run the attached application, please send an email to
support@leadtools.com and we can send you a pre-release of the dll's necessary to run this demo.
