Hi,
i have been converting a 24 bit color bitmap to different resolutions.It is fine till 12 bit.But from 8 bit downwards,different colors appear.
The images are below..
Topleft-8 bit conversion
TopRight-7bit conversion
BottomLeft-6bit conversion
Bottomright-Original image.

The image is a giff.
also,the version i am using is leadtools 14

What flags are you using with the color resolution function? You should use the Optimized Palette flag if you want the resulting colors to be similar to the original.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.I am using the inputs from the standard color resolution dialog.For resolutions below 8,the flags returned is CRF_FIXEDPALETTE.So i am just using it.Should i harcode the flag value to CRF_OPTIMIZEDPALETTE??

If you use the dialog, the user should be able to choose the flags. This includes the Optimized Palette flag as shown in the attached image.
