Hi,

we are using lead Tools 15 and have licenced the 1) The Document Imaging, 2) OCR and 3) The 1D barcode modules

We have an OCR application that detects 1D barcodes and scrapes text off dot matrix and laser printed TIF and JPEG images of invoices - all english

I'm familiar with the help articale "File to be included with your application" but I was just wondering was there any other lists that would just give the required files for subsets of the LEad Tools such as above, in order to make the installer as small as possible

I've experimented with removing all the language dictionary files except english, all the LeadTools.* and LTDInterop.* dlls not required, file formats except TIF and JPEG and it still appears to work

Would you have any recomendations on this ?

We don't have a separate list, but I can help you trim it down further. Can you list the files that you have narrowed down to? I can then tell you which ones to remove based on what you are doing.

Ok, thanks for the response

I've attached a dir listing of the files I've trimmed it down to so far - I still have the HAND.REC file in the OCR directory, it's a bit of a biggie

Everything in the OCR folder you will need. These are the required files. This will allow you to OCR, read barcodes, and open TIFF and JPEGs. Try it out and see how it works out.
