Hi

I am trying to work out how when an image is scanned in, i can automatically determine the images skew from the registration marks file (if possible). I noticed someone else had raised this question back in 2004 and was never answered - so does this mean it is not possible.  If not, then how should one go about working out the level of skew - I've been reading that if the level of skew is less than 10degrees I should use the L_DeskewBitmap API, but I don't even know how to work out the level of skew... so I don't know wether to use the API command or the Leadtools.ImageProcessing.Effects.DeskewCommand or  the Leadtools.ImageProcessing.RotateCommand.

Is there a working example of this - I am currently evaluating the lead tools 14.5version for document OCR and OMR.

Thanks

S

The DeskewCommand can tell you how much the image needs to be deskewed.  To enable this, set the ReturnAngleOnly
flag in the Flags property before calling Run.  The Angle property
will updated with the angle.  If you need to deskew by more than
10 degrees, then use the DeskewExtendedCommand which deskews by up to 45 degrees.
