LEADTOOLS toolkits support developing applications under Delphi using our C DLL functions.

The various APIs in our C DLLs contain a huge number of functions, and almost all of these functions can be used in Delphi. There are some differences between the C language syntax and Delphi, so the code samples in the help files might need some changes before using them with Delphi, but these should not be difficult to do.

Before LEADTOOLS v18, our toolkits were only shipped with 32-bit definitions for Delphi, although we had 64-bit DLLs since version 15.

In LEADTOOLS v18, our toolkits have Delphi definitions for both platforms (32-bit and 64-bit). This is needed since recent versions of Delphi (such as Delphi XE2) are capable of building 64-bit applications.

There are 3 Delphi demos shipped with the toolkit, which are Load and Save demo, Annotation demo and Twain demo. You can find these demos in the [LEADTOOLS Folder]\Examples\Delphi folder.

We also have additional sample projects posted on our forums. Here are some of them:

  1. Read and Write 1D Barcode
  2. Splitting a Multi-Page TIFF File
  3. Minimum ArabicOCR demo
  4. Minimum OMR demo
  5. Using the Medical Image Display Container Control
