Hi,

I am using Leadtools 15 Eval for C#.NET

Is there any way to grayscale an image on display only. This means, the file itself doesn't change, just the viewer.
I heard about the LeadControl.BitonalScaling command but I can't sem to find it, so I assume it doesn't exist for C#.

I also found a post on this forum suggesting to convert th image into 8bpp, which dosn't look like an optimal solution to me, since imag modification is involved and this increases considerably the size of the file.

Is there any solution to my problem ?

Thanks

Guillaume

You can't grayscale an image's display only; you have to convert the
pixel data itself.  Also, the BitonalScaling property will not
help you because it only works with 1-bit images.  Perhaps having
two copies of the image might help?  One for display and one for processing?

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. But I actually use 1-bit images. But the thing is that I didn't find the BitonalScaling property ? Does it exist for C# ?

Thanks,

Guillaume

It is, but it's not called BitonalScaling in the .NET classes.
You need to set RasterImageViewer.PaintProperties.PaintDisplayMode to ScaleToGray.

Thanks a lot for your answer, it does exactly what I wanted it to.
