Image file size with deleting annotations

Using Leadtools AnnAutomation v16.5.

Using a 3 page multi-page tif file that is about 80 kb in size, I added a couple of rubber stamps and file size increases to 800 kb. I deleted the annotations using the following code and the file size doesn't change:

_automation.SelectAll();
_automation.Delete();

RasterTagMetadata tag = _annCodecs.SaveToTag(_automation.Container, _tagFormat);

if (tag != null)
{
_codecs.DeleteTag(_imageFileName,this.imageViewerControl1._curPageNo, tag.Id);
}

Is there anyway to save the image or remove the tag so that the image file size is the same or close to the original size before applying the annotations? I notice the same issue occurs with the annotation demo.

1- The serial number of your product (Note: Do NOT post it here).
2- Build number (file properties version info) of Leadtools.Annotations.dll
3- Exact steps to reproduce the problem using our demos.
4- If this problem only occurs on a specific image, please include the image that triggers the problem. Please put the attachment(s) in a ZIP/RAR file before sending.
5- Reference (a link) to this forum post.
