Split by moderator from thread "Is TWAIN version 2.2 supported in latest LeadTools?"
=========================
I'm trying to run a test application at the clients but I have some trouble (running XP SP3).
I already managed to recreate this issue with the testapp in a Virtual Machine (also running XP SP3).
It just throws an error "Leadtools.Twain.TwainException: Failure due to unknown cause".

I found this post;
http://support.leadtools.com/CS/forums/38262/ShowPost.aspx

I tried looking for the TWAINDSM.dll file, but its not there on either the client's testmachine or my VM. I dropped it in my VM to try to get the twain log as described in that post but am not getting any luck.

On another testmachine this issue's not reported and the testapp runs and scans just fine.
I also found on these forums somewhere that was saying you would need to install Visual C++ redist, so I did on the VM (all of them up to 2008 SP1, just in case).
The version of leadtools is 15.

Does the same scanner driver work with the Twacker standard test utility? If not, you might need to install the driver or the latest version of Twain Data Source Manager.

Thanks,
