Hi,

I installed v 17.5 LTMM.
When I open and build example source "capture", I got 2 warning.

1. Cannot find (rapper?lapper) assembly of type library "stdole".
2. Cannot find refenced component 'stdole'.
-> I don't use english version, maybe warning dialog is not exactly same. But meaning is similar to above text.

I tried to add stdole.dll to example project.(local copy) However I got another warning.

I want to know how to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Which version of Visual Studio are you using (2008, 2010, etc.)?
Also, which LEADTOOLS Multimedia Capture demo are you trying to build? Is it one of the following:
C\Capture
Cpp\Capture
Dotnet\CS\Capture
Dotnet\VB\Capture
VB\Capture

I use Visual studio 2010, and I tried to build Dotnet\VB\Capture.

I also tried to build other project for checking(Dotnet\VB\Covert),and it also had same warning message.

This issue might not a LEAD issue. It is most likely a general Microsoft issue. I need you to do the following test:
1. Create a new VB.NET Windows Application project using Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET Framework v4.0.
2. Right click on Toolbox panel and select Choose Items.
3. Navigate to COM components tab and select the checkbox for "Microsoft Common Dialog Control, version 6.0".
4. Try to draw the newly-added component on the application's form and build the project. Does it draw and build successfully?

If this test does not work on your computer then the error is either in the .NET Framework or Visual Studio 2010. Please fix that error then try our demos again.

I didn't find/understand No.3 process.
I just create new VB.NET form project, and add some component to mainform. After that I built this project, and I didn't get same problem.

I also installed LTMM v16, but I didn't get same problem from v 16. ( I got some warning message, but I can build this project.)

Also I uninstalled vs2010/vs2008 and reinstalled both.
However I still get warning message on both tool(vs2008/vs2010). Of course I removed and reinstalled LTMM v17.5 also.

If you have any solution or idea for solving this problem, let me know please.

I removed reference -> stdole.

After that I built the project, and I could make new exe file.

Is it ok?

Normally, you should not have to modify any references to build our demos. This means your computer still has a problem with the .NET framework (possibly incorrect DLLs somewhere).
However, if you test the controls (especially events) and they're working properly, this means you can proceed in your work.
