Is it a must to buy the LEAD MPEG 2.0 codec to play a LEAD MPEG2 compressed video?
If yes, can i use LT v1.5 to compress video using a more popular MPEG2 encoder, like the one used in Microsoft Window Player?

The Video that you compress using LEAD MPEG-2 encoder is a standard MPEG-2 Video, and you should be able to play it using any standard MPEG-2 decoder.

You can also us LEADTOOLS to encode (compress) a file as the one in the image using the following settings:
Target Format: MPEG-2 Program
Audio Compressor: LEAD MPEG Audio Encoder
Video Compressor: LEAD MPEG2 Encoder

I have tried to encode the video (from webcam) to MPEG-2 using LEAD MPEG2 encoder. However, the video cannot be played using Microsoft Window Media Player while the video (attached in 2nd post) can be.
Attached please the screenshot of the GSPot of the 2nd video.

Do I need to change the target format to :ltmmCapture_TargetFormat_MPEG2_PROGRAM?
axltmmCaptureCtrl.TargetFormat = (int)LTMMLib.ltmmCapture_TargetFormat.ltmmCapture_TargetFormat_Avi;

f.y.i. i also tried the CSCapture demo to capture video from webcam using LEAD MEPG-2 processor. The result is the same. It cannot be played without installation of LEAD codec

I tried to change the target format to "MPEG-2 Program". The error was found:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: LTMM Error: The specified module could not be found.

Yes, try to set the Target format (as suggested in my previous reply) and as shown in the Pre-built convert demo to MPEG-2 Program (See attached). This should generate a file with same information as in GSpot screenshot that you provided.

Regarding the error, if you try our pre-built demos to set the target format to MPEG=2 Program, and convert a file, do you face the same error?

Does this only happens when you deploy your test application? If yes, how exactly are you deploying your test application? Are you registering the Multimedia DLLs (using regsvr32.exe)?
