long *Index;	pointer to a variable

Retrieves the index of the subtype that matches the specified name.

Parameter	Description
pCaptureSubTypes	Pointer to an IltmfCaptureSubTypes interface.
Name	Character string that contains the name of the subtype to find.
Index	Pointer to a variable that receives the zero based index of the matching subtype. A value of 1 indicates that no match was found.

Returns

S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the MediaFoundation documentation.

Comments

An inputs name is unique. An application can use this function to find a specific input. An inputs name can be retrieved with the IltmfCaptureSubType::get_Name function. When searching for a subtype, use the unique name, not the descriptive name.
