Returns the number of values stored in the Value Field of the specified element.

Parameter	Description
hDS	A DICOM handle.
pElement	Pointer to a DICOMELEMENT structure within the Data Set.

Returns

The number of values stored in the Value Field of the specified element.

Comments

For more information on retrieving multiple values from the Value Field, refer to the L_DicomGetxxxValue functions.

To minimize memory use in your application, you can free the memory allocated for this function to return the value by calling L_DicomFreeValue following the call to this function.
