Gets the number of values stored in the Value Field of the specified element.

Parameters

element: An item in the Data Set.

Return Value

The number of values stored in the Value Field of the specified element.

Remarks

For more information on retrieving multiple values from the Value Field, refer to the DicomDataSet.GetxxxValue or DicomDataSet.GetxxxValuePtr methods.

To minimize memory use in your application, you can free the memory allocated for this method to return the value by calling FreeElementValue following the call to this method.
