Retrieves the target format The format to be used for the converted file. This includes the file format, any special settings used by that format, and which audio and/or video codec A COmpressor combined with a DECompressor, or encoder and a decoder, which allows you to both compress and decompress that same data. is to be used for the conversion, and any special settings used by the codecs. collection object.

pVal	Pointer to a variable that receives the target format collection interface pointer.

Returns

S_OK	The function was successful.

Comments

The returned IltmmTargetFormats interface is used to enumerate the available output formats, and to select the format to use for capture. See IltmmTargetFormats for details.

If the method succeeds, the caller must free the returned interface pointer by calling the interface's Release method.
