Returns a pointer to a structure that contains the item with the specified value representation code.

Parameter

Description

nCode

A value representation code. A pointer to the item in the Value Representation Table that has this value representation code will be returned.

Returns

!NULL

A pointer to a DICOMVR structure that contains the item with the specified value representation code.

NULL

There is not an item with the specified value representation code.

Comments

As an example, if you call this function with nCode set to VR_AE, and the Value Representation Table filled with the default values, the DICOMVR structure pointed to by the returned pointer will contain VR_AE, "Application Entity", 16, VR_STRING|VR_MAXIMUM, and 1.
