Video Annotation Object

The video annotation object (ANNOBJECT_VIDEO) is a rectangle containing a scaled image that can be activated to play an AVI file or capture a multimedia file. With the automated functions, in design mode, the user clicks and drags to specify the rectangle in the current window. A dialog box then lets the user specify the preferred options. In run mode, clicking on the icon plays the AVI file.

For playing the video, you must have DirectX installed.

To capture an AVI file from a video card, LTCAP15u.dll is required.

With low-level functions, you must define the size and position of the rectangle. Other applicable properties have the following defaults, which you can change:

Visible

Defaults to FALSE. It can be changed using L_AnnSetVisible.

Selected

Defaults to FALSE. It can be changed using L_AnnSetSelected.

Name

Defaults to show the name, with the name as the empty string. It can be changed using L_AnnSetNameOptions.

Foreground color

Defaults to black. It can be changed using L_AnnSetForeColor.

Background color

Defaults to white. It can be changed using L_AnnSetBackColor.

Font size

Defaults to 10 point, translated with a scaling factor of 1. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFontSize.

Font underline

Defaults to FALSE. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFontUnderline.

Font strikethrough

Defaults to FALSE. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFontStrikethrough.

Font italic

Defaults to FALSE. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFontItalic.

Font bold

Defaults to FALSE. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFontBold.

Font name

Defaults to "Arial". It can be changed using L_AnnSetFontName.

Fill mode

Defaults to transparent. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFillMode.

File

Defaults to the empty string. This can be changed using L_AnnSetText.

Tag (identifier)

Defaults to 0. It can be changed using L_AnnSetTag.

Window handle

Defaults to NULL or the handle inherited from the container. It can be changed for all objects using L_AnnSetWnd.

User mode

Defaults to design mode or the mode inherited from the container. It can be changed for all objects using L_AnnSetUserMode.

Fixed State

Defaults to not fixed. It can be changed using L_AnnSetFixed.

Name

Defaults to empty string. It can be changed using L_AnnSetNameOptions.
