The LEADTOOLS Medical Imaging toolkit adds 10-16 bit grayscale support and 48 and 64 bit color functionality to the LEADTOOLS Raster Imaging Pro toolkit features to make the Medical Imaging toolkit a complete imaging solution. For example, the toolkit includes TWAIN support to add such things as x-ray film scanning, generalized imaging support from image capture, format conversion, Internet imaging, database support and printing, to name a few. Rounding out the set of functionality in the LEADTOOLS Medical Imaging toolkit is a comprehensive set of image processing functions.
With the LEADTOOLS Medical Imaging toolkit, developers have access to features which have been chosen and optimized to meet the specific demands of the medical imaging market, such as full DICOM dataset support, support for 9-16 bit grayscale, and 12 and 16 bit image processing and display with window leveling and LUT processing.
The DICOM 3 (2003 file specification), the industry standard medical imaging format/protocol is fully and completely supported, allowing programmers access to medical images retrieved from digital imaging modalities such as CT and MR scanners.
