Existing video software, such as Windows® Media Player® and Ulead Media Studio®, can utilize this codec to play1, create1 and edit1 LEAD's proprietary MCMW files. Developed by LEAD as an alternative to standard compression algorithms, MCMW delivers smaller file sizes and can maintain better image quality than any standard compression with better image quality.
The MCMW Codec has been designed to meet the needs of high-quality video compression using low bandwidth (dial-up) delivery.
